Here at Stockwood Osteopaths we pride ourselves on our dedication to our patient’s health and well being. We would hope that you agree that we try our best to maintain an holistic approach to your well being and with that in mind we are delighted to introduce the most recent addition to our team.

We are very happy to welcome Lucy Hill, a fully qualified Sports Massage Therapist, to our Buckingham Clinic.

Lucy qualified as a sports masseuse in 2016, having previously completed a Health Sciences degree whilst working as a Personal Trainer. She has experience of working in both private gyms and hospital settings as well as running community gyms that focus on rehabilitation and accessibility.

Lucy’s particular interests include neurological rehabilitation, adaptive exercise programming and post-surgery recovery, she believes that sports massage can benefit everyone from athletes to the immobile.

Sports massage is a form of soft tissue mobilisation and despite its name, is not limited to athletes. Treatment is appropriate for anyone, from those with sporting injuries to those recovering post surgery and it is also beneficial in conjunction with physiotherapy and osteopathy. Massage treatment outcomes can include reduction in pain, increased mobility, improved recovery, prevention of injury and reduced tension.

In her spare time Lucy can be found dog walking, reading or working on her own fitness.

Lucy is currently available for therapeutic massage on Saturdays. We are also pleased to announce that Lucy is now also qualified to carry out IDD treatments in the clinic, which is a welcome relief to Adam who has been exceptionally busy over recent weeks!
